Doctor caught on camera mocking patient suffering anxiety attack

ER doctor suspended for mocking black patient suffering anxiety attack: ‘You people come here for drugs’

A Northern California emergency room doctor has been suspended after cursing and mocking a man who said he had an anxiety attack.

Donald Bardwell told The Mercury News that his son had been previously diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and was off his anxiety medication for two days because he was unable to visit the pharmacy.

Samuel Bardwell, 20, a basketball player at West Valley College in Saratoga, Calif., is pictured.

Ms Keegstra appears to show little sympathy for Mr Bardwell who tells her he can't breathe.

Bardwell's father, Daniel, reportedly recorded their unsettling June 10 encounter with Dr. Beth Keegstra, 57, and posted the footage to Facebook.

"You're full of sh*t!" she told Bardwell, as he tried to explain his condition.

Keegstra also was seen on the cellphone video angrily telling Bardwell he's "the least sick of all the people who are here who are dying".

Wood said the doctor's 'demeanor was unprofessional and not the standard we require of all who provide care through El Camino Hospital'.

In addition, the hospital responded to local television station KRON with an update saying that they've contacted their contracted provider and let them know to take this physician off their list of approved emergency room doctors.

Director Rian Johnson's new Star Wars trilogy and the film series from Game of Thronesshowrunners David Benioff and D.B. No more Solo-s? Lucasfilm reportedly sets aside the Star Wars Story films to focus on trilogy work.

Samuel Bardwell told the station that Keegstra should be fired and the hospital should be investigated.

She berated him for being unable to sit up in the bed.

An American doctor has been fired from the hospital she was working from after a video of her in tense standoff with a patient has gone viral.

Bradwell's father, Donald, recorded the video at El Camino Hospital. "And I said, 'What do you mean you people?' ..."

Meanwhile, the patient's father told ABC's Good Morning America on Monday that he doesn't believe the doctor should be practicing medicine at all and that he's considering taking legal action against the hospital. "You want us to wheel you to your house in a gurney?" she says, laughing. "That's why I started the video", he said, adding he held his cellphone at chest-level and was not trying to be surreptitious about videotaping the interaction.

As a result, they took measures immediately and suspended Dr. Keegstra from her position. The mistreatment is obviously about race because she wouldn't be allowed to treat all patients like that, the father added. "I came in here wanting to help you and you're just, you're turning your story around, you're changing your story, you're saying one thing and then you're telling me another thing".

The doctor offered some belittling to go along with her treatment.

A LinkedIn page for Keegstra identifies her as a doctor with Vituity/California Emergency Physicians, a group that contracts with hospitals to provide emergency-room physicians. Keegstra said in the video. "I need you to take out your phone now cause I have a feeling something is gonna happen, '" Samuel Bardwell told GMA.
