Trump Threatens To Revoke Media Credentials Over Fake News

"The Fake News is working overtime", Trump said in a Twitter comment.

"Why do we work so hard in working with the media when it is corrupt?".

Trump's tweet exposes the veneer shrouding his "fake news" criticisms, confirming that he believes any negative news about him, regardless of its veracity, is fake.

Trump previously threatened to end the practice of holding press briefings "for the sake of accuracy" in May 2017, as he faced criticism over his administration's misrepresentation of the decision to fire FBI James Comey.

At a brief press availability on Wednesday as he held a cabinet meeting, Trump was asked by a pool reporter if he would ban the press from the White House.

Uber Flying Taxi Launch Only 2 Years Away, Company Says
Putting a date on the plans, Uber said Dallas, Dubai, and Los Angeles would all have uberAIR flying vehicles overhead by 2020. Khosrowshahi became the CEO of Uber in August after his predecessor, Travis Kalanick, resigned.

Based on other tweets from Wednesday morning, it appeared the president was watching "Fox & Friends" as is widely reported to be his custom at the White House.

But there was also a major tell in Trump's tweet.

The MRC, which regularly blasts out signs of media bias on its 'Newsbusters' website, reported the '91%' statistic cited by Trump when it analyzed network news coverage in September, October and November.

Conservatives have spent decades building a critique of mainstream news, lovingly compiling examples of biased or allegedly biased reporting, and constructing an echo chamber in which the dread Liberal Media can be ignored. As president, he has suggested he could take away networks' broadcast licenses.

A stricter licensing system of White House reporters under Trump would presumably be good for Drudge, who has gained close access under the current president.
